A Note on Colors

I caught then end of this show called The Doctors (Drs) this afternoon and they were talking about colors and health. Here's a few notes from what I can remember.

Sky Blue releases tranquilizing hormones. That's why many hospital workers wear it, sleep aid commericals use it, and the cardiology rooms in hospitals are painted this color. It tranquilizes us, to an extent, and calms our hearts. This is good. You could probably take a room in your house/apartment and paint it this color to see the effects for yourself.

Red, believe it or not, makes us think of more than just sex. Red also makes us hungry. ... Interesting.

Green is similar to sky blue in the fact that it calms our heart and relaxes us as well. They went on to say that is why nature hikes are so calming. I always figured it was because of the clean, fresh air we're not used to.

Orange is one of the most misunderstood colors. It conveys a lot of different things. From being down to earth to adventerous. I plan on doing some more research on this subject and posting my findings. Feel free to experiment with these colors in your wardrobe and see if you notice any changes in the way people act around you. This could be a very interesting experiment in sociology.
