Awkward....

So I work at an amusement park as a Safety official, you know checking fire extinguishers... making sure things are up to date and rider rules are said to patrons...etc.

So I'm walking past this ride and I hear.... Watch out! He's REAAALLLY TALL...

Now, just hearing this was enough to make me stop and walk back to check out if the person on the ride was over the height restriction...(Not to mention the fact that I loooove tall men as I am 5'9 finding taller guys than me is sometimes hard *grin*) and so while the ride was running I notice the person while fine... is probably technically over the accepted height limits.

So I sit and wait right by the exit... just you know to see if the person getting off has any complaints about anything. So I'm sitting there as tall man and his two friends that are flanking him come off the ride and I'm starting at tall man seeing if he's got any marks on him and then I notice the two guys with him have my college sweaters on... and then CRAP. I make the connection.

This tall man was a guy I had marketing class with and had exchanged phone numbers with at one point when I was drunk back at school.

Actually... about a month ago I got a call from his phone.. I said hello.. and it sounded like some drunk chick just giggled into the phone then hung up... I didn't think much of it at the time...

Fudgeeeee. While making the connection I ask the guys how the college is since I graduated last may and they say great..... and I'm like... Arn't you Matt? and he's like no... I'm tall guy... this is Matt... Arn't you...Fun? I'm like yeah...

Then to make matters worse Matt apparently worked at the park and starts asking me if I ever gave the safety award to his friend and I said yes...as I'm trying to leave but then it looked like I was following them away from the ride... ugh...

A safe distance away I realized I was so flustered by sudden appearance of tall guy that I forgot to yell at the staff! haha.

So I went back and told them about my awkward moment... they laughed... then I told them to keep the height restrictions in check from now on.
