A Success Story! Whoo Hoo!

After thursdays "Social Adventure" I was very happy on Friday to have my best female friend accompany me out downtown. It was just coincidence that a mutual acquaintance from work had gotten a hotel room downtown so he and his friends could get hammered as there was a firefighting convention downtown, and it was easier than commuting.

It also was his birthday so hence forth Birthday Boy =BB
We went to meet him at his room to meet up with him and his friends

My female friend (FF) blabs while I am explaining my new job to BB & Pals that my employer also owns a business that rents strippers to batchlor parties... (True, but it's a business and I know it's simply meeting a demand in buffalo and it's not like I work for that division)... but this sparked the boys interest and they became SURE that that was my "real" job as opposed to my talent agent job...

So I used this as a joking opportunity to use my new PUA name and I said:

"Okay, okay you got me... My stripper name is FUN!"

As we walked to the bar (The irish pub!) We continued this playful banter... and we get to the bar and get our first round of drinks then go sit at a table.

We're generally having a good time and then BB says his other friend that came downtown to meet him and celebrate his birthday just got here and was ordering his drink so I turn and look just in time for him to turn his back to us to give his drink order to the bartender.... but I liked what I saw from the back. FF noticed my reaction (Shes in a LTR so she all about being my wingwoman).

He's tall and cute from behind in his leather jacket then he turned around and....


Damn. He's got facial hair...

Normally, this is a turnoff and I'm done.. but I remembered how my guy friends from the community told me not to write off guys so quickly and I think... meh... facial hair can be shaved.

So he sits down and BB introduces him and explains how he's 22 and goes to UB and how he's in the MBA program that I myself am interested in going to.

After BB tells us this is MBA, I reach over and take the opportunity to enthusiastically say "Hi! I'm Fun!" with the biggest grin on my face. To this the entire table erupts with laughter from the "inside joke"

So I continue playful banter with the group and here is the table set-up

TT is in my way but I manage to find out that MBA is an investment banker (sucks to be him right now) but I find him the most viable option as even though BB is not bad looking... I kind of know how needy he can be because he's tried to break up FF with her LTR for the longest time.

Finally, TT goes to get another drink and I slide slightly closer to MBA to ask him about the UB MBA program and we talk and it's going well. TT comes back and MBA slides closer to sit by me

so it's now

I find out he went to RIT for undergrad and we clicked when we discover we both saw the same Dane Cook show there and quoted him screwing with the sign language interpreter.

So we leave to go to the Buckin' Buffalo bar so BB can ride the Bull. I've never been to this bar before and it was pretty fun. It confirmed an earlier theory of mine to me that girls that wear low cut tops and jump on the bull simply do it as attention whores. It's suuuuuuuper funny when girls jump on the bull as guys attention snap to the bull or the TV screens on the bull.

I'm not saying I would never ride it... but I'm saying I would rather do it when theres like no one in the bar or it's just my close friends there all riding too.

It's a country bar and it's hard to talk as it's so loud... and by this point BB notices that me and MBA are chatting... a lot. MBA is clearly interested in me as he was always within easy access to chat with (in a good way) and maintained distance when I would walk away to talk to someone else.

He's not my "perfect type" but I'm not looking for Mr. Right as discussed previously... so I figure what the hell and in the bathroom I write my cell phone number on one of my business cards and discreetly give it to him when BB isn't looking. (He'd get jealous and upset and hey... it's his birthday and he was hoping to hook-up with me... which was obvious by his encouraging me to "Drink up so I can take advantage of you later") As soon as he said that in the irish pub... I closely monitored my intake and began pouring my drink in the sink during bathroom breaks...

A drunk PUA is not a PUA... at least not in the beginning stages.

I give him IOIs and initiate kino (the boy is from RIT...a regular sausage school for christ's sake... who could blame him for not doing this on his own?) But there is one thing that bothers me slightly... his attempts at reciprocating kino are cute... but indicate to me the type of guy he is. He places his arm on my back for quick light hugs touches etc while bantering... but they are sooooo light and weak that it was noticeable. Guys... when using kino USE FRIGGIN KINO.. touch strongly and confidently. Unsure touches = insecure men to me. So if you're going to put your hand on my back do it confidently. You know what I mean.

BB continued to get drunker and drunker, riding the bull, doing shots, etc and while I was in the bathroom with FF, MBA must have told the others I had given him my card, because BB became much more aggressive to the point of scary.

He started grabbing my waist and drunkenly painfully pulled me close to him to ask why I was interested in MBA and not him. The simple fact was... I had more in common with MBA man and not with him.

BB started Ice fights with others and as guys do all of them were attempting boobie basketball on me and FF. MBA went to the bathroom and then the Ice Ice fight was all in fun until BB tried to SHOVE an ice cube down my chest. I buckled inward to fend him off and said sternly in my not kidding voice "BB you're HURTING me... Quit it. OUCH... Get OFF" and he was too drunken to realize or he was just mad.

At this point I was more than ready to freaking LEAVE. I was mad, because he really hurt me to the point that my chest was red. But my friend was having fun and she hadn't been out all summer either... so I listened to her "one more drink" and "Until everyone finishes their beers" for another hour before saying... listen.. I've got our keys and I'm LEAVING. it's 2am. I'm stone sober, and sooo ready to go as I wanted to leave before MBA man (always leave them wanting more right?).

So FINALLY I pry my friend to leave and we go home.

Despite being out longer than I wanted and drunken BB's antics.. I realize I learned a lot about BB's true colors and I consider the night a success in terms of MBA boy's interest.


Do I think he'll call? Maybe. Will I be waiting around for Mr. MBA to call me back???

As if!

A true PUA never waits for anyone to call back. She/He makes their own opportunities and follows through with no regrets.

I had a good time out tonight. Thats all that matters.:D
