Right or Wrong? This is what I did.
I've been in Hollywood, Florida for the past month, trying to relocate. This is my last weekend here before I'm force to move back with my parents in the NYC area. I figured I'd head on over to the Hard Rock down here before heading back north. It was my first time in a Hard Rock anywhere, and my first serious time in any club.
Club was the Gryphon in the Hard Rock down here (http://www.seminolehardrockhollywood.com/ for reference). The place was small. Got there at midnight. Left after about an hour. This is what happened.
It was dress to impress. ID required. Some of the women there were hotter than I've seen in a long time.
The first set I opened, was a 2 set. Both girls were cute, and I opened the less attractive (not the target). I asked her if she saw the two girls fighting outside. "Really," she said excited. Then giggled. Then she pulled her friend - the target with her and left. It looked like they went to check it out. I stayed behind.
The 2nd set was about 4 girls. They were attractive. Hotter than the first set, and near the bar. I opened with the same routine. The music was blaring, so I had to lean in. The girl I spoke to - the one who responded by leaning in when she couldn't hear, and was the closest, told me I was making it up. Of course I was, but I told her I wasn't. I said that's why they had added security outside. She followed her friends onto the dance floor. I didn't follow. In hindsight, I think I was turned to much toward her too early on.
I'm new to the club scene. Saw some of the girls there walking around with test tubes with something colored in them. I only heard of jello shots, but haven't actually seen them. I'm guessing that's what these were. At some point, I asked a guy what they were, and he looked at me like I was crazy. When I told him I'm new to the scene, he said they were alcohol.
The third "set" wasn't really a set to start. One of the girls carrying those saw me eying her. She asked if I wanted one. I told her I'm new to the scene, and didn't know what they were. She also said alcohol, and mentioned something with vodka in one of them. She was trying to get me to buy one (it was only $5). I told her I was allergic to alcohol (which is true). She insisted it as only a small amount.
Pretty quick into the conversation, another hot girl comes over from behind me and asks me to buy her one. She said she wanted to get drunk tonight. I told her she should buy me one. She said, "What?" like she was surprised I would suggest such a thing. She then told me she forgot to bring my purse while looking over my shoulder and past me. She continued to try to get me to buy one for her, as well as the other girl. The second girl said something about the first girl being pretty (they both were). They said it was only $5, and asked if I had that much. I had more than that, but I wasn't about to buy it for someone I didn't even know.
The two of them walked away a few steps. I followed, and could clearly hear them tell each that I was broke, then walked away from me and each other. My impression was the 2nd girl (the one that came up to me) was also working there, and trying to help the first one make a sale. Either way, I got bummed out.
I went to follow the first set (at least a half hour passed), but couldn't find them. Instead, I saw an adjoining club playing Latino music. Smaller place. If I saw the first set, it was too dark to recognize them. So I left.
So? How did I do?

In my opinion, not bad. I advise you to not say that you are allergic to alcohol. From somebody who is in the medical field, that sounds like nonsense. You might be weak against it (light weight like me) or you might just take it in too quickly and your cells freak out, but I doubt you are allergic. I do recommend getting tested by a medical doctor to be sure. How to relay the information is easy, just tell them that you a) are the DD for your friends b) are high on life and don't want to hash the buzz with booze (feel free to add your own words) or c) you've already had enough. The girls that wanted you to buy for them smelled fear and were trying to make a gain on it. Those are collectors; they know they're hot and they collect drinks from guys hense the name. Kudos for standing your ground, I'm proud. You should have followed the first and second sets but made it look like you were leading. They wanted to see take the out and then when they discover there is no fight bring them back in the club and lock in. I actually don't like the fight opener because of that problem. I encountered it on a sarge night 3 times and decided to dump it. Hit more clubs, get familiar with them. When you get used to it they will all seem the same then you can work very effectively.
