Okay, so I've read The Game, and it's a great book as I'm more than sure you all know. The beginning of the book when the October Man Sequence is mentioned really caught my attention aswell as the description of how Ross Jeffries picked up the waitress. The reason it caught my attention though was that it didn't seem to me like ANY kind of "pick up" so to speak. It DID however seem like a form of hypnosis or more accurately NLP.
What I want to know is if it's just me or the idea of hypnotising a woman to go out with you without her consent is truly pickup or just an underhanded tactic?
Far be it from a relative noob to question the wisdom of Ross Jeffries, but I personally don't think it "fair" for lack of a better word. Some hypnosis routines can be rather dangerous, especially when used by someone so inexperienced that they can't undo it later. The October Man Sequence in particular seems to be a very powerful technique. From what I've read on it, I would think that a routine similar to it could even be used to get rid of some people's phobias!
Can a routine that overwhelming really be inconsequential?
